One of McCannics’ standout projects involved the earthquake strengthening and refurbishment of 37 Gladstone Road, a historic building now serving as the boardroom and offices for Eastland Group Ltd. Damaged in the 2007 earthquake, the building required extensive structural repairs. McCannics successfully strengthened the structure to over 100% of the National Building Standard (NBS), blending modern functionality with the building’s historic character. 

Hear4U Headquarters

Demonstrating their commitment to community well-being, McCannics provided a new, larger building on a lease basis for Hear4U, a men’s mental health and suicide prevention trust. The refurbished headquarters include therapy rooms, a boardroom, and communal spaces, significantly enhancing Hear4U’s capacity to serve the community.
